Mysore Dasara Festival Date

11 Days Dasara festival starts on Sunday, 11th Oct 2026 between 10.10 am to 10.40 am during the auspicious Vrischika Lagnaoffering Pooja to Godess Chamundeshwari on top of Chamundi Hilland practice of Jayalakshmi Vratacharane.

Puja will be performed to the Goddess between 7.39 pm and 8.16 pm during the auspicious Mesha Lagna.

Daily cultural shows are organised in 4 to 5 venues in Mysore city apart from lighting of heritage buildings. Food Festival, Sports, Yoga and many more activities are conducted etc.,

Wednesday, 21st Oct 2026, Chief Minister will perform Nandi Dhwaja Pooja between 1 P.M to 1.18 PM, during the auspicious Dhanur Lagna. The CM & other dignitaries will be offering floral tributes to the idol of Goddess Chamundeshwari kept in 750-kg Golden Howdah, between 4.42 pm and 5.06 pm, during the auspicious Kumba Lagna. Pooja is performed in front of Maharaja Palace.

Evening Tarch Light Parade start at 18.00hrs culminating end of festival.
